I have joined the 30 Day Shred club and begun working out daily with Miss Jillian Michaels.
Though we are currently trying to conceive our third baby, there is no harm in trying to get into shape and get healthy before pregnant, and to continue to do during pregnancy of course. It's quite the challenge, but I am determined to stick with it to get to the weight and fitness level that I was before getting pregnant with the twins.
At that point, I was a dancer. I danced all week long, every day, all day. I weighed between 135-140 lbs., and had a high metabolism because I was so active, so I could still each whatever I wanted, and not gain weight or become unhealthy before of it. That all changed when I got pregnant with Connor and Merasia.
I lost 30 lbs. right after delivery, but gained some back, along with the few more pounds I wasn't able to lose so easily. I am not happy with my current weight, but I also don't have the time to go out and join a gym or fitness class somewhere, not to mention the financial means of doing so while being a stay at home mom to Connor & Merasia.
This video costs $9 at Walmart (Can we say CHEAP?), and it only takes 20 minutes of my time a day! It's perfect for when I put the twins down to bed for the night and hubs is at work. I clean up a little bit from the hurricanes known as Connor and Merasia, and then get in my workout clothes, pop the DVD in, and go to town! It has three levels, starting with beginning stuff to a little more advanced moves. But let me assure you...level one is QUITE the workout! Especially if you haven't worked out in a while, like myself.
I am hoping that along with losing some pounds and getting pretty fit, my metabolism will start to go back up, and I can be just the way I was before getting pregnant before.
So far, I am on day 5 of the shred, and it's going well. Hard and painful at times, but it will be worth it, I know.
