When it rains, it pours!

Isn't that the truth? It seems when one bad thing happens, a hundred more seem to follow like a domino effect.

This last month has been extremely stressful for us. Hubs has been out of work since the very end of April, when he threw his back out. Of course this is stressful because he is our income, but we have been managing. It's tough, but we are getting by. We figured it would be a quick fix and he'd be back to work within a few weeks or something, but...not so. Well, really, he was allowed back to work on light duties and no lifting over 10 pounds a couple of weeks ago by the doctor, but his boss is being difficult and not cooperating with us, so that's not happening.

We are also in the process of moving. But that's a whole other story I won't get into here or now.

To top it off, our car broke down a week ago, and is still not fixed. Heck, we don't even know what's wrong with it! I was with my best friend Jenn, and my kiddos and her daughter, hanging out and doing errands, and hubs was with my friend's husband, helping my mom with some things. It was supposed to be my first night of class for the summer semester, but I really did not want to go. Of course, I was planning on sucking it up and going anyway. But then hubs called that afternoon and said the car broke down, he thought it was a rod bearing (which means nothing to me), blah blah blah. I was stressed and upset. On top of everything else, we didn't need that too. I dropped my class and had a small meltdown. We got the car towed to my mom's house with the help of my friend's AAA, and since money is tight, my sister in law offered to buy the parts it was going to need. That was helpful and fine, but once the parts were installed, it didn't fix the problem. Back to the drawing board. It's been a week now, and hubs still doesn't know what is wrong with it, which is weird for him, since cars are his LIFE. It's what he does for work, he is a mechanic, so for him to not know what the issue is, is pretty bad. We are able to get it back home where he can tear it apart and get to the root of the problem though, so hopefully within this next week it will be fixed and back on the road.

In the meantime, we have had to rely on friends and family to get us places, and that's never fun. Not to mention we are going stir crazy sitting in the house day and night. We are very active and like to get out and do stuff, even if it's just going for a ride in the country or whatever, and not having that freedom right now is a huge adjustment. But we're trying to stay positive that it will be fixed soon and things can get back to normal...somewhat.

It's been in these last couple of weeks that I have realized just how true the title of this post is...

When it rains, it really DOES pour.

Yes, when it rains, it pours! But it won't always be that way. Things will get better and change....just not on our timing! We are not in control! Hang in there!

Thanks, Ashley! You are very right! I just keep thinking that something good HAS to come out of all this bad stuff...such as us getting pregnant since we have been trying hard for baby number 3?? Hopefully! ;-)

I got pregnant with our son when my hubby was out of work. Well worth it I think! Someday will be #2 for us...not quite ready I think! I'm crossing my fingers for you!

BTW, I tweeted your Little Duck Organic giveaway so maybe you can get a few more entries! I'm looking forward to more of your giveaways! You should make a Twitter account---it might boost your reader count! :)

Thanks! I am keeping my fingers crossed too...second round of Clomid, so we'll see!! I never really thought of setting up a twitter account because it's just status updates all the time right? and i can do that on facebook...but if you think it'd be a good idea, i am totally open to it! :-)

Clomid....I've heard of it, but not too familiar. I hope it goes well for you! I just opened a twitter account recently.....yes, just a bunch of status updates but it should bring more attention to your blog if you start "following" other bloggers and brands etc. It's also a fun option to get another entry into giveaways! Have people follow you on twitter and tweet your giveaway to their followers to gain an extra entry.....and then give the option of an extra entry if they do that once per day. I've been entering a lot lately, and that's what a lot of blogs have been doing. Just another avenue for you!

That's the truth! We definitely had a day like this a few weeks ago. Things never go the way we plan them do they? But God always has better timing. It never seems like it, especially in a situation like this but you'll see soon! Keep up the positive attitude!

I'm praying for you guys!

Ashley - Clomid makes you ovulate. That's the easiest way to describe the drug lol That's how we got our twins before actually :-) It only took two cycles last time, so hopefully that will happen again this time around. :-) I think you have convinced me to get a twitter...I'll post when I have created the account. I have entered giveaways before where one of the things to do to get extra entries is to tweet about it, etc. but never really thought of doing it. Until now! ;-)

Margaret - Thank you!! I am trying to stay as positive as possible...it's hard sometimes but I just focus on the kiddos and they get me through. I know God has a plan for us and is bringing us through these times in our life for a very good reason, and He will makes things turn around when the time is right. :-)
