He has tried some "real" food but hasn't cared too much for what he has tried. He tried chicken the other night and liked it okay, but liked it much better when I mixed in little pieces with his pureed carrots. This morning, he scarfed down on cheerios and real banana chunks. Crackers are a definite favorite of his though!
He has about 8 teeth, and is working on more! He started cutting teeth at 4 months and hasn't stopped since!
Mason loves to play in his jumperoo and jump and jump and jump! He follows his brother and sister around the whole house and loves playing with their toys too.
He still doesn't sleep through the night. I'm not sure if he wakes out of habit and only "thinks" he's hungry, or if he really is hungry and needs to eat. We try to just give him his paci and see if he will go back to sleep, but most of the time, it doesn't work and I end up giving in and giving him a bottle. After a few sucks or a few ounces though, he's back to sleep. I don't feel quite ready to do the Ferber cry it out method with him just yet, so we'll give it a little more time. He takes about 2-3 naps a day, usually 2 long good ones, and one little cat nap. Most of the time, I can get all 3 kids down for their nap and bedtime at the same time, which is awesome!
Mason is such a happy baby! Everyone is always commenting on how smiley, happy, and handsome he is, of course! ;-) When he wakes up from a nap or wakes up in the morning, he pulls the side of his crib bumper down and looks out to see if anyone is coming to get him from his crib, or he looks out and sees us sleeping and babbles and talks to yells at us until we wake up. It's so cute!
I love seeing him grow and learn new things every day. He is close to sitting up on his own and pulling himself up on things like the side of the couch or a chair. But he doesn't care too much about that stuff. As long as he can get from one end of the house to the other, he's happy as a clam! :-)
He's such a goofball, and I love it. He cracks us up and sure keeps us on our toes! I wouldn't have it any other way though....Mason has only added to the immense love and joy in our home, and it's such a beautiful thing....
