Tommee Tippee Review & Giveaway

In our household, we have many necessities. One of those are bottles, and sippy cups. The twins are getting older and learning to get better and better at drinking from regular cups, but there are times they are still too clumsy with them, or when we go somewhere, when they use a sippy cup still. I have yet to find a spill proof sippy cup! It seems every single cup on the market today claims to be spill proof, so we go for it, buy it, and then find out soon enough that we fell into a marketing ploy, and spend the rest of our days constantly cleaning up water, diluted juice, and milk off the floor, carpet, bed sheets, couch...everywhere! So, you can imagine my skepticism when I came across Tommee Tippee products, and they claimed to be, of course, "truly spill proof." I figured I didn't have much to lose though, since I was already used to cleaning up sippy cup leaks from all over the house, so what was one more right?

Tommee Tippee offer an array of products, one being their popular closer to nature bottles.

From their website:

"Inspired by nature and developed in conjunction with midwives, breastfeeding moms and babies, Closer to Nature bottles are intuitively designed for easier, more natural feeding. The bottle features a uniquely soft, superwide nipple that naturally flexes and stretches like the breast, and the natural shape lets baby latch on effortlessly, easing transitions between breast and bottle and allowing mom to successfully combine breast and bottle feeding. The bottle shape is simply intuitive, allowing for a more comfortable hold and breastfeeding-like closeness, while the ultra-sensitive anti-colic valve lets babies feed at their own pace, with less air, vacuum buildup and nipple collapse, which can help reduce gas and colic while feeding. Nipples are progressively staged in slow, medium, fast and vari-flow rates to meet growing babies’ needs."

Another popular item is their Explora Truly Spill Proof Cups for all stages of development.

"The Tommee Tippee Explora line of BPA-free toddler drinking products is designed to take children from first sips to grown-up drinking by easing transitions along the way. The advance-flo™ valve used in Explora cups was designed by a physicist and requires almost no force to drink from, yet still remains spill- and leak-proof. Each Explora cup is progressively staged with a specific grip to fit little fingers and unique spouts, from soft touch to dura-spouts, to meet the needs of every age, and to support natural oral development. Available in specific boy and girl colors and designs kids love."

Tommee Tippee also offers other products, such as breast pads, breast pumps, baby monitors, cleaning and sterilization supplies, tableware, bibs, pacifiers, teethers, and much more!

I was sent a closer to nature first sips weaning sippy cup in blue for Mason, and two explora truly spill proof straw cups, one in blue and one in pink, for the twins.

Mason is still getting the hang of using a sippy cup, so this smaller beginner's cup is just perfect for him to learn and explore with, and he likes chewing on the spout of him to help cut his teeth though. ;-) And, to my happy surprise, it has NOT leaked once!! I was amazed the first several times he threw the cup, and I picked it up several minutes or even an hour later, and the floor was DRY.

The twins love their cups as well. It's been a while since they have had a straw cup, so they are used to tipping up their cups to drink from them. It took them a little bit to get used to, but they soon got it and looove them, and feel like real big kids with them. Again, to my surprise, I found that these cups don't leak either! Well, a drop or two of liquid got out from the tip of the straw, but that's to be expected with a straw. It was nothing like the puddle of liquid other cups leak out!

FINALLY, a company true to their word!

I also love that with these straw cups, the top of the cop has a little cover that just slides right over the straw, so when it's not in use, the straw stays clean.

Another plus with Tommee Tippee products? They are all BPA FREE! How can you go wrong with comfort, ease of use, and safety for your little ones?

Tommee Tippee's customer service is also excellent! When we first received the cups, one of the straw cups had an issue with the straw staying in. It would fall out at the tiniest touch, for some reason, so the kids were not able to use them. I immediately contacted Caroline at Tommee Tippee, and she referred me to Evelyn, who immediately replied to my concern, and sent me out replacement straws. I got them within a couple short days, and all was well! This is some of the best customer service I have ever received, and really speaks well to the company.

Along with great products, being true to their word as a company and satisfying customers, and have exceptional customer service, Tommee Tippee has a fairly new web application called The Day The Baby Was Born. This application is an innovative, free digital scrapbook for pregnant parents to capture those special pregnancy and birth moments. This application is something for all pregnant women to explore and create. I wish we were expecting again so I could use it, but there will be a next time! ;-)
