MoHawk Home Rug Review & Giveaway!

I worked with MoHawk Home Rugs several months ago, and was in love with the rug I received then, and very impressed with the whole experience.

So imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to work with them again on yet another review! We were in need of a new area rug as the one we first got has seen a lot of use with the kids!

There are so many varieties of rugs and other home products to choose from with MoHawk Home Rugs and other products. From their website:

"Mohawk Industries is one of the foremost manufacturers and distributors of residential and commercial flooring in the world. We enjoy leading market positions across multiple flooring categories, including carpet, ceramic tile, stone, wood and rugs in the United States and laminate in the U.S. and Europe. Mohawk dates its roots to the 1800's when it became one of the first American carpet manufacturers. Today the company is headquartered in Calhoun, Georgia with operations on three continents."

The other good thing is their products are carried at several stores throughout the U.S. Walmart, Home depot, Lowe's, and others just to name a few.

For my review, I received Mohawk Home Watamu Printed Rug in size 60 x 96.

The rug we had previously received for review from Mohawk went upstairs in our room, as we really needed an area rug up there because the original carpet is just boring and the previous tenant smoked inside, so there are a few carpet burns and stains. I could have put the new carpet upstairs, but I really wanted the new carpet to be seen by everybody that comes to our home, so I wanted that one to be downstairs. Our original carper downstairs is really thin and a dark green color. It's not very pretty at all, and not very cozy or comfy on little feet.

Our new rug really brightens up the room a lot, and is soooo much more comfortable for all of us. It's fluffy and cozy and the design is fun too!

Another nice bonus with this rug being downstairs, is that when I vacuum, I don't have to keep stopping and changing the setting on the vacuum for how low the carpet is, because with this particular rug, I can keep it on the very first setting. With the other rug, the threads were slightly taller so I had to keep switching the setting of the vacuum. With little ones, I vacuum a TON, and sometimes need to be able to vacuum quickly, so not having to change the setting constantly really saves me time.

I really like the other rug being in our room upstairs too. I don't need to vacuum up there often because we are usually only up there to sleep so it stays very clean and tidy, but the old tan rug really needed to be covered up.

The other Mohawk rug really adds more color and makes our room look more "formal" for lack of a better word.

The majority of the carpet stains and burns in the original is covered by the area rug, so that makes me happy. :) It's also nice to have a little more cushion in our room since the original is so thin and cheap.

Once again, I am SO happy with Mohawk Home products! They never seem to disappoint me and the area rugs really hold up well to general wear and tear. With 3 little ones running around and making messes daily, the rug that we put up in our room is still in excellent condition (with the exception of a few stains here or there). It's great to know that these rugs can maintain so much and still survive. Not a lot of other companies' products can hold up as well.

Purchase it: You can purchases the rugs seen in this review and many other items from Mohawk Industries at a retailer near you. For a list of retailers, visit www.mohawkhome.com While you are doing that, also head over to Mohawk's YouTube channel and check out the "Still Made in America" Mohawk Home video.

I like Model # 294175 but I'd probably let my daughter choose a rug if I win. She has slate floors and needs a rug for my grandkids to lay on to watch tv!
