Glazed Pork Chops & Apples Recipe

I have shared a couple recipes on my blog before, but it's been a while since the last one. This past week, we have tried several new recipes. We plan our meals weekly, as it's easier to grocery shop that way, and, usually, cheaper too. We were sick of having the same stuff week after week, so I dug out the cook book again and browsed through it to see if anything caught my eye of something new to try. I found a recipe for glazed pork chops and apples, and decided that sounded good, so we would give it a shot!

It turned out sooooooo good, so I wanted to share it with all of you!

What You'll Need:

6 boneless pork chops (1 inch thick)
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/3 cups French's Taste Toppers French Fried Onions, divided
2 apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch wedges

1. Wash, core, and cut up apples.

1. Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper to taste. Coat chops in 1/4 cup flour on sheet of waxed paper; shake off excess. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large nonstick skillet until hot. Cook 10 minutes or until thoroughly browned on both sides. Remove; set aside.

2. Stir broth, vinegar, sugar, and 2/3 cup Taste Toppers into skillet. Hear to boiling, stirring often. Return chops to skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, covered, 10 minutes or until pork is no longer pink and sauce thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. Stir in apples; cook 2 minutes.

3. Sprinkle with remaining 2/3 cup onions. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes, if desired.

This new recipe was a total HIT! Definitely one to add to the recipe box!

The kids LOVED it, our friends LOVED it, and I LOVED it! SO good, and something NEW and DIFFERENT to do with pork chops for once! Try it out, and tweak it in your own way, for your own family, if you'd like! Feel free to share your own tweaks on this recipe, or your very own special, delicious recipes!

Enjoy! ;)
