Family Wedding

A couple of weeks ago we traveled back to Jeff's hometown for his cousin's wedding. I had only ever been to two weddings before in my life and one was way back when I was a little girl so I didn't remember much from that one! The kids had never attended a wedding before so this was a new experience for them. We were both a little nervous on how they would do sitting through the ceremony, even though that would be short, but they did surprisingly well. The biggest issue was keeping Kendall contained and quiet through the 30 minute ceremony but she did well, considering!

Everyone looked so spiffy in their wedding attire...

Of course Kendall wouldn't let me get a picture of her without her duck in the photo too...

Mason never wants me to take a picture of him these days so this was the best I could get...

And the diva...well....yeah.

The wedding was beautiful, outside with a gorgeous lake as the backdrop. The bride look gorgeous, of course! Merasia was smitten with her big pretty princess dress and couldn't stop talking about his pretty she looked, even days after the wedding when we were back home!

The reception was a blast as well. Anyone who knows my kiddos knows they love music and love to dance, so after having a bite to eat, they hit the dance floor for the next several hours!

Mason thought it was so cool that he got to drink "champagne" (sparkling apple cider!)

I couldn't resist grabbing a selfie with my girl whenever she took a break from dancing her butt off!

Merasia and Mason loved pretending to dance like the bride and groom were. How cute are they?!

At one point Merasia saw another little girl dancing with her daddy, and she asked Jeff to dance with her. How could he refuse, right?

She also couldn't help but want to dance with mom, too. :)

While Kendall got time to catch a little snooze in, we were able to get a couple nice photos to remember the moment:

All in all, it was such a fun time and the kids were pretty well behaved despite waking up at their normal crack of dawn wake up time and not getting to nap at their regular time. We only had to speak to them a couple of times but it was such a fun and safe environment that they could run and play and do whatever and we didn't really have to worry much about them, which was nice. And by that night, they all were beyond ready to collapse into bed, which was a big parenting win for us!

And one of the best parts of the reception? I caught the bouquet!

You know what that means........................
