Bello Is BACK! The Big Apple Circus is Coming!

I recently recieved an e-mail from Sona over at American Pop Digital, spreading the news of the Big Apple Circus! I had never heard of this circus before, so I was delighted by the news of a circus relatively close by to where we live. We will be attending the show in Boston in May, which is only 3-4 hours away from us. It will be Connor & Merasia's first time seeing anything like that, and we are so excited to take them and see the show for ourselves!

From the press release website:

"Bello is Back! under the Big Apple Big Top performing breathtaking feats of humor in the theatrical focus of one ring with no seat more than 50 feet away!

It seems like only yesterday that this daredevil clown made his hair-raising New York debut with the Big Apple Circus. He’s been a big star all over the world ever since and was recently named "America's Best Clown" by Time Magazine.

Bello is joined by a world of stellar circus stars:
*From Spain, Picaso Jr. returns with his sizzling style and extraordinary juggling act — puffing into the air up to five ping-pong balls simultaneously, and catching them — with his mouth!

*From Russia, the Aniskin Troupe amaze with their bravura, athletic trampoline act — then soar into the Big Top stratosphere with their spectacular flying trapeze act!

*The Big Apple Circus' own lovely and graceful Regina Dobrovitskaya performs a shimmering spectacle on aerial silk ribbons!

*Equestrians Christine Zerbini and Sultan Kumisbayev present an electrifying riding act — standing atop galloping chargers, Roman–style!

*Luciano Anastasini’s Pound Puppies (all rescued from animal shelters) return for a joyously jumping mélange of human and canine acrobatics!

Of course there’s more and for an extra measure of love and laughter, there’s the Big Apple Circus' very own clown -- Grandma.

So pick your group’s dates and do like Bello—come on back! The Big Apple Circus is your circus, Big Apple is back in town!"

Not only is this spectacular circus a brilliant feat for adults and children alike, it's for a good cause. The Big Apple Circus is a not for profit performing arts and outreach institution.

Pajama Day!

Today was the first day since the twins were newborns that we stayed in our pajamas alllll day long. Well, okay, I had to get dressed to go to an appointment, but I changed back as soon as I got back home!
It was nice to just lounge around all day, play with the babies, and snack, snack, snack all in our pj's. :-)
I am usually very anal about getting the twins dressed every morning. They wake up, play, and then have breakfast. When I am done cleaning up from breakfast, I go and get them dressed for the day, even if they aren't going anywhere. Sometimes they match each other, sometimes they don't. But they always look cute, adorable, clean, and well "put together." It's just how I am. :-)

But today I broke that part of the routine, and relaxed just a little. ;-)

Here are some photos from today:

I Smell Like Poop...

...But can't seem to find where it is on my body. Funny, huh?

Why do I smell like poop, you ma be wondering?

Because my dear, sweet, innocent, adorable, beautiful, handsome 14.5 month old son had a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, monster, gigantic, watered down diarrhea at dinner time. And, in the process of trying to get his shirt off without getting poop all over me and him, I was unsuccessful...I plopped him in the tub immediately, cleaned him and myself up as best as I could, got him ready for bed, cleaned the diaper and mess up, soaked his shirt, and washed my arms and hands, complete with hand sanitizer afterwards. But I must have missed a spot. Because every once in a while, I can still get a whiff of it. It's not the diaper, I got rid of that thing as soon as I could. it's not his shirt, that smells clean now after soaking for hours. :-) So, it's gotta be somewhere on me and I just can't figure it out. Ew. Gross.

Ahhh...the joys of motherhood.

I'm off to shower now. :-)

Good Girl

This is Merasia's newest, favorite phrase to say lately.

Over the months, we have unintentionally made it a habit to say "good girl" to Merasia whenever she does something nice, is well behaved, etc. It just happened. One night when she heard us say that to her, she repeated it, much to our big surprise!

It's the cutest thing, but I have yet to get it on video.

All day, she walks around saying "good girl, good girl, good girl!"

I ♥ her.

Wordless Wednesday: Playground!

Clomid Begins Today!

Today is cycle day 5 for me...and that means one thing...CLOMID begins today!! I usually take my pills at night to avoid any side effects that may appear. :-) So, in a few minutes when I get ready for bed, I will take my first pill of Clomid. I am so excited to see what this cycle brings, but am trying not to think about it too much because I don't want to jinx anything that may happen. ;-)

I will keep you all posted though. Promise.

Connor & Merasia's 14 Month Portraits!

We had Connor and Merasia's spring portraits done tonight, and they are adorable. Here they are, for your viewing pleasure! ;-)

A Visit from an Old Friend...

An old friend popped in for a visit today. I haven't seen her in...well...just about 2 years. Not that long, right? I gone without seeing other friends for 2 years. But this friend, oh this friend is very dear to my heart. (At times.) She has her moments, but having her visit has paid off once, in a big way.

You see, this isn't just any ol' friend. We first met when I was about 11 or 12-years-old. I wasn't sure how to react when we first met, as she kind of scared me at first. But, we got acquainted pretty quickly, and we hung out for a week or so every month. There were times being around her made me sick, for whatever reasons, but there were times where it wasn't that bad. And then, without warning, she just disappeared. I didn't hear from her for a year+! I wasn't too disappointed though.

And then, out of nowhere one day in 2008, she came back around! I was so happy to finally see her again, and didn't bother to question where she had gone or why she had disappeared, or why she was even coming back around at that time in my life. But, it was a blessing to have her back.

It was a blessing to have her back because, with a little help from another friend, we conceived our beautiful twins.

Yep, that's right my friends. I am talking about good ol' Aunt Flo!

Aunt Flo has returned, and I have never been happier to see this old friend of mine as I am right now!

As previously mentioned Here, my doctor put me on Provera a couple of weeks ago, to jump start Aunt Flo, and I stopped those meds about 4 or so days ago. And today, she is HERE! This means that in 5 days, I can start the Clomid, and then, hopefully, we will be expecting baby number 3...or babies number 3 and 4! ;-)

Outside FUN!

We took advantage of the 60 degree weather this afternoon and went outside to play for the first time! We went outside a few times last year, but never for Connor and Merasia to roll around and play, and they went outside for a little bit with my friend when I had class the other day, but I took them out tonight for a little bit to tire them out before dinner, baths, and bed!

They had a ton of fun playing in the (not so green...yet!) grass, exploring sticks and branches and pavement, and scaring the crap out of their mama when they kept trying to climb on the cement stairs in front of our apartment building! After a few times of moving them away and they continued to go for the stairs, I decided to bring them back upstairs because it was freaking me out too much! :-) But, I did get some cute photos with our new camera!

Enjoy!
