Green Smart Review

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you probably know I am a fan of green or natural products. I am always on the search for new and natural/green products, and that goes for anything! Kid or baby products, beauty or household products...and when it came to finding a laptop bag for my new computer, that was no different.

Green Smart offers nice quality laptop sleeves, laptop bags, backpacks, messenger bags, and wine and water bags. that are all made with eco friendly material and socially responsible labor.

From their website:

"Our mission is to offer bags that make you feel good. Any brand can make attractive bags and be indifferent to the resources it takes to make them. GreenSmart is different. GreenSmart cares. Using eco-friendly materials and socially responsible labor are two of the most significant ways we have to embed thoughtfulness into the design of a bag. Who doesn’t want to see recyclable materials (plastic bottles) turned into something functional and beautiful?

As Shoreline, we used to make bags from from polyester, neoprene and nylon. Back in the 20th Century that was the only choice we had for durable fabrics. Along with the new numbers, the 21st Century has offered great strides in material options for bag-making and we try to utilize them exclusively. We hope that our commitment will continue to delight consumers and make a difference.

Our intentions are simple, transparent and ongoing:
  • To make great bags using green materials.
  • To use smarter manufacturing practices whenever possible.
  • To provide smarter ideas for our own lives, as well as our customers.
  • To help educate and influence others through our products and practices.
  • To be passionate about everything we do."

For my review, I received the black laptop sleeve and laptop markhor bag in blue.

At the time, I wasn't sure if these bags would accommodate m laptop, but I took a chance anyway. :-)

The black laptop sleeve is a tiny bit too small, but I still use it. My backpack for school has a spot designated for laptops, but I don't trust the safety of my laptop in just that compartment, especially with my books and all, and with how much my backpack gets bounced around so much, so I use this black laptop sleeve for added extra protection, and it works great!

As I said, it's a tad small for my laptop, but it barely sticks out at all, and it gets the job done and is still very useful!

I absolutely love the Markhor bag. It has a few different compartments so I can fit my battery and charger along with my labtop, and a few papers or fliers that I may need.

It fits my laptop perfectly, even when zipped up and closed.

It even came with a longer strap, so it's easier to carry over my arm, which is a big necessity for me. :-)

I fit a few papers I needed in the pack slot, and my batter and charger in the front pockets seen in the above photos.

I love the color of this bag as well. It's a nice shade of blue, so it's cute for my taste. The inside is a bright orange, which contrasts the blue very well. And it's pretty padded on the inside, so I feel confident not having to use extra padding or supports and don't have to worry about hurting or breaking my laptop.

Overall, I am very happy with both of these products. I can use them both, so the size of my laptop didn't affect the usage I would get out of both of these bags, and the quality is top notch. And being made from eco friendly materials and being healthy for the environment, makes it even better. :-)
