Mason at 9 Months!

It's hard to believe that my baby boy is 9 months old already!

At 9 months, Mason is just over 19 pounds, and 29 inches long. He has definitely thinned out and slowed down on his growth since he started moving all over the place a few months ago!

He has recently learned how to clap, and claps at everyone and everything when he is happy, which is most of the time!

He also recently learned how to pull himself up to standing. He wants to do it allll the time. He pulls up on the couch, the chair, his learning table, everything and everyone!

He can be mischievous at times, but he's so dang cute it's hard to get mad!

He says hi and da da very well. In fact, every time I say hi to him, he replies with "hi da-da." LOL He has other babbles, but nothing we can decipher just yet.

Mason LOVES to eat! He experienced his first taste of turkey with all the fixins' at Thanksgiving dinner this year.....

He eats some baby food still, but eats a lot of the same foods that we eat too, in smaller pieces. He isn't very picky. He enjoys beef, chicken, steak, plain noodles, bread, crackers, hot dogs, carrots, green beans, peas, mashed potatoes, turkey, corn, bananas, and his Gerber little crunchies snacks. ;-)

He also met Santa for the very first time a couple weeks ago!

I have a feeling Mason will walk before his big brother took his first steps (18 months!!). Whenever he pulls up to stand while holding on to my hands or hubs hands, he wants to take steps. So, we help him along taking little steps and he just giggles and smiles. He is just the cutest thing!!

He eats about 8 oz. of formula in between his regular solid meals, and takes 2-3 naps a day. Mason has yet to get the memo about sleeping all night, or at least sleeping 3-4 hour stretches. But that's okay. These days go so fast that before I know it, I will be wishing for the middle-of-the-night-snuggles back. He is still sleeping in our room, in his crib next to our bed. I'm too sad to think about moving him all the way downstairs in his own room, so I'm dragging it out as long as I can. :-)

He also has 10 teeth now! He may have more, but he won't let me look very much! But I know he definitely has ten; 4 on top, and 6 on the bottom!

He has gotten so big and developed so much in such a short time. Taking care of one baby at a time is so much different from when the twins were babies. There is only one baby to feed, one to change, one to get up with in the middle of the night. It's just so different, but nice, especially since the twins are at the age where they like to help mommy with random things, such as changing Mason's diaper or picking up toys or playing with him when he is fussing and mommy is trying to get housework done or make dinner. :-)

He has developed and reached milestones so much more different from the twins as well. It's crazy to watch, but I am just trying to live in the moment and soak up every single little second of the time we have with him while he is at this stage. ♥ ♥
