Yesterday was Connor and Merasia's 3rd birthday party! They were up super early in the morning, and didn't really grasp the concept of a birthday party or what it was all about. I did last minute decorations and then we just did our normal routine until they went down for their nap, and then I finished cleaning and started decorating. When I was all done, this was the result....
I think it came out pretty well actually! It wasn't my original idea for the streamers, but nobody near us had orange or yellow streamers, so we had to go with only the red, and they wouldn't twist the way I wanted them too...but it came out fine anyway! Looking back, I would change the color of the streamers, because the red with the red Elmo banner kind of blends together and takes away from the banner. But it's okay, I am still happy with it! :-)
Guests arrived, and we had a surprisingly good turnout. Better then I expected! After everyone arrived and daddy got home from work, Connor and Merasia dug into their presents.
They loved EVERYTHING and got so much stuff! After presents, it was time for cake!
The kids LOVED their cake, and I made it and frosted it all by myself! :-)
All in all, it was a great party. It went off without a hitch, we had a great turnout, the kids were in a great mood, and everyone enjoyed themselves and I got tons of compliments on the decorations, the cake, and everything. I was a happy mama!
